The Mali country team is currently
in the process of finalizing their MoU with InterAction and their
internal operations protocol.
They will then look to planning
the national meeting where they will determine their action
plan for the coming year.

The issues they have currently brainstormed that may be reflected
in the action plan are:
National NGOs
- Maintain and safeguard the “safe space” available
to all
- Open up USAID/Mali country strategy planning process to Malian
NGOs
- Clarify collaboration and roles between PVOs and NGOs in development
program implementation
- Improve national NGOs’ access to information on and
increase their participation in US led initiatives such the MCA
and AGOA
U.S. PVOs
- Preserve the ALPI “safe space” for continued exchanges
(particularly with USAID)
- Improve understanding and collaboration between NGOs and PVOs
- What to do about MCA
- NGO/PVO involvement in government budget support fund related
issues
