African Liaison Program Initiative

ALPI's Countries of Focus: Senegal

The ALPI Country Team in Senegal was officially formed in September 2004, but has been working together much longer than that—even during a period when there was no formal structure or funding for ALPI work. According to CONGAD —the NGO secretariat on the team—they attribute this to the genuine commitment among all team members to the principles of ALPI and the value it brings to their work.

The team has been preparing an operational protocol and is currently engaged in discussions to determine potential issues for ALPI to engage to present at their national meeting.
