Purpose

The partnership will provide a network for public, private, and NGO and individuals to share information and establish working relationships with others involved in prevention, mitigation and response to CBRN disasters.

Goal

Identify prevention and mitigation strategies to reduce vulnerabilities to CBRN hazards and build NGO's capacity to provide humanitarian services outside the "hot-zone" of CBRN disasters in a coordinated manner.

Participation

Strategic Issues

The partnership will achieve its goals by undertaking the following tasks:
  • Identify current and potential CBRN hazards which may require foreign disaster responses.

  • Identify the necessary knowledge and skills NGOs require to respond to the humanitarian needs of those displaced by disasters provoked by or otherwise involving CBRN hazards.

  • Identify training resources to increase the capacity of NGOs to respond to humanitarian needs of those displaced by disasters provoked by or otherwise involving CBRN hazards.

  • Identify roles and capacities of partner organizations in CBRN prevention and mitigation.

  • Facilitate the training of partner organizations in CBRN prevention and mitigation.
