Guidelines
for Attendance at
Humanitarian Policy and Practice Committee Meetings
I. Monthly Meetings with
BPRM and OFDA
All registered disaster response and refugee NGOs (not limited to InterAction
members), relevant USG employees, and all others upon a specific invitation
as appropriate. Visitors will be announced at the beginning of the meeting.
II. Monthly Meetings with
OCHA
All registered disaster response
and refugee NGOs (not limited to InterAction members or even American
registered NGOs) and relevant UN employees. All others upon a specific
invitation only and agreed by InterAction and OCHA.
III. HPPC-hosted Meetings
HPPC members and other InterAction
NGOs and outside NGOs at the determination of an HPPC co-chair. U.S. Government
officials and academics on an invited basis. No foreign diplomats, no
press, and no for-profits except on an extraordinary basis as determined
by a co-chair.
IV. HPPC Business Meetings
HPPC members only, as votes
will be taken on issues of concern to the Committee. HPPC membership is
open to all InterAction members engaged in disaster response work and/or
refugee protection abroad.
