THE ISSUE:

Six years ago, the United Nations put forth a set of eight Millennium Development Goals to significantly reduce the overall level of global poverty by 2015. How are the goals progressing, and what have American NGOs been doing to help achieve them? In this issue, we examine each goal individually and what has been accomplished so far. We’ll also highlight campaigns around the world that support the eradication of global poverty.
