Christian Children’s Fund (CCF)
Statement of Purpose Too many of the world's children suffer the debilitating effects of poverty and violence. Children have the right to experience life with as much joy and hope as humanly possible. Christian Children's Fund creates an environment of hope and respect for deprived, excluded and vulnerable children of all cultures and beliefs in which they have opportunities to achieve their full potential, and provides practical tools for positive change - to children, families and communities.
Programs & Activities
CCF offers program to provide for healthy and secure infants, educated and confident children, and skilled and involved youth.
Early Childhood Development: CCF offers programs to support children’s integral growth and development, stimulating learning and supporting development.
Education: CCF is committed to providing educational opportunities to children in the 31 countries it serves throughout the world. Programs include alternative education, job training, after-school programs and peace schools.
Emergency Relief: CCF mobilizes basic education and basic primary health services for children by establishing Child Centered Spaces in disaster areas. Child Centered Spaces provide support by giving children a safe space in which to play and re-establish a sense of normalcy.
Micro-Enterprise: CCF’s micro-enterprise program makes small, low-interest loans available to families so they can start their own businesses, such as a tailoring service, bakery or revolving livestock program. CCF works with communities to establish village banking systems and other infrastructure.
Health and Sanitation: CCF battles childhood disease, and conducts diarrhea and malaria prevention programs, while improving access to clean water and proper sanitation in more than 1,000 CCF-affiliated projects.
Nutrition: CCF has instituted a variety of programs to improve children’s lives and nutritional status. Programs include food security, teaching balanced nutrition and supplying food in emergency situations. |
