World Bank 101
A selection of documents and presentations, available below, provides a basic "World Bank 101" framework for understanding the Bank's policies and practices, from both the point of view of the institution itself and from the perspective of civil society groups and NGOs who must engage with it. Some materieals came from a day-long workshop, The World Bank and Civil Society: Access and Advocacy held on October 17, 2003 at InterAction's Washington, D.C. headquarters. At a series of panels comprised of World Bank and NGO representatives, Bank staff delivered presentations on various aspects of the Bank's work, while NGO representatives responded with comments and critiques.
