Original event description:
Join InterAction as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day in solidarity with the broader climate movement to launch the new NGO Climate Compact.
The NGO Climate Compact: Commitments Toward Environmental Action and Sustainability is the largest collective effort that U.S.-based NGOs focused on global development and humanitarian assistance have taken to date to commit to addressing climate change. This online event will highlight how the environment is central to achieving our missions to serve the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people, and draw connections between the current global health crisis of COVID-19 and the behavior change needed to mitigate and adapt to climate change.
The NGO Climate Compact and the fast-growing list of signatories will be made public on the morning of April 22.
In the meantime, check out our new report, Turning Up the Heat: Activating NGO Climate Leadership at a Time of Crisis.
