Claudia Sanchez de Lozada
Claudia Sanchez de Lozada joined InterAction as Senior Manager for Climate and Environment on the Global Development Policy and Learning team in October of 2021. She brings 15 years of experience in environmental risk assessment/management in the private sector.
Prior to working at InterAction, Claudia worked as an international environmental consultant. She has extensive experience in environmental risk assessment and environmental compliance across a wide range of private sector and development projects. During her prior work experience, Claudia managed international environmental litigations, environmental impact studies, and due diligence assessments throughout Latin America, Africa, and the United States.
She recently finished her Master’s degree in Environmental Management from Yale’s School of the Environment. Her research focused on ecosystem-based adaptation practices for water resource management in Indigenous communities in the Andes and the Hindu Kush Himalayan mountain regions.
In addition to her Master’s degree, Claudia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from Macalester College. In her free time, Claudia can be found exploring hiking trails and photographing landscapes.
