InterAction Welcomes Tom Hart as New President & CEO

InterAction proudly welcomes Tom Hart as its new President & CEO. The appointment was formally announced on September 26, 2023.

Tom Hart, a distinguished leader with over 25 years of experience in the NGO community, officially assumed his role today. His arrival is met with enthusiasm from the InterAction Board, the Staff, and the broader NGO sector.

“The InterAction Board is thrilled that Tom Hart will be leading InterAction at this pivotal moment for our community and those we serve,” said Abby Maxman, InterAction Board Chair and President and CEO of Oxfam America. “Tom is a proven and respected leader who brings a track record of success, strategic insights, and deep knowledge of the NGO sector to the InterAction community, a combination of experience that positions him well to steer InterAction towards even greater achievements in the future.”

Hart, known for his impactful tenure as the President of the ONE Campaign, brings a wealth of expertise and a forward-thinking approach to InterAction. Additionally, in a time of deep partisan divides, Hart’s commitment to bipartisan collaboration has been instrumental in fostering the growth of American foreign assistance, ensuring the continued work conducted by NGOs worldwide.
