InterAction Stands Together with HIAS and the Jewish Community of Pittsburgh
InterAction condemns the horrendous attack at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. As a values-based organization, InterAction stands in solidarity with member organization HIAS in its work to aid refugees and reaffirms its commitment to communities everywhere that are targets of hatred.
“The violence in Pittsburgh reminds us to not leave anyone behind in the face of intolerance,” said InterAction CEO Sam Worthington. “As a broad community reflecting the diversity of America, we stand with HIAS, and view any act of aggression on one member as an attack on all. The powerful work of all of our members reinforces InterAction’s mandate to ensure that our sector can continue to help the communities in which we serve.”
InterAction remains committed to its work to provide a hub of advocacy and solidarity for NGOs who confront discrimination or targeted regulations in the U.S. due to their operating principles or faith.
