Statement Regarding InterAction Member Mercy Corps

Washington, D.C. —InterAction issued the following statement regarding sexual abuse allegations made against InterAction Member Mercy Corps’ late co-founder Ellsworth Culver.

“We are aware of the sexual abuse allegations made against InterAction Member Mercy Corps’ late co-founder Ellsworth Culver.

“We take these allegations very seriously and are waiting to hear more about the results of the independent, external review into the 2018 reporting.

“InterAction remains committed to practices and policies that create an environment free from sexual abuse, exploitation, and harassment by and of NGO staff and the communities they serve.”
