Roundtable Discussion on Improving Inclusion of Older People and People With Disabilities in Humanitarian Response
InterAction is pleased to convene a virtual roundtable discussion on Tuesday, June 27 on improving the inclusion and leadership of older people and people with disabilities across humanitarian emergencies.
The roundtable will focus on the what, why, and how of centering older people and people with disabilities in humanitarian emergencies. The conversation will explore existing gaps and develop tangible solutions to ensure more consistent, comprehensive inclusion across humanitarian crises with measurable improvement in outcomes for individuals and communities.
The roundtable will consist of a panel discussion with humanitarian practitioners from the field and experts in inclusive humanitarian action from a disabled person organization and an older adult association, followed by breakout sessions to delve into challenges, good practices, levers for improving inclusion, and priorities for measuring progress and outcomes.
