InterAction and its Members advocate for funding of poverty-focused development programs and humanitarian relief, while also engaging on issues like foreign assistance reform; democracy, rights, and governance; global health; food security, nutrition, and agriculture; water, sanitation, and hygiene; and humanitarian access.

InterAction also works with and through its Member organizations to strengthen policies and programs that help reduce poverty, hunger, gender and social inequity, and environmental degradation in more than 130 countries.
