The Membership and Public Engagement (MPE) team coordinates InterAction’s Member engagement efforts, which consists of issue-based and regionally-focused Working Groups, the annual InterAction Forum, CEO retreat, and other high-level meetings and events throughout the year. The result is a series of collaborations and best practice sharing between experts, government officials, and other stakeholders in the U.S. and from NGO networks in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
The program’s key areas of focus include:
Annual InterAction Forum: The MPE organizes the conference, which is based in Washington, D.C., and brings together more than 1,000 attendees, including leadership from marquee foundations, governments, global industries, the U.N., and national civil society organizations.
CEO Retreat: At this annual retreat (including a separate retreat for women CEOs), attendees have an opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and participate in strategic thinking and capacity building exercises with their peers.
NGO Futures: NGO Futures provides workshops and collaboration space for U.S. NGO leaders to improve organizational agility, catalyze bringing innovation and best practices to scale, and explore and redefine future roles of NGOs.
Promoting Member Impact and Expertise: MPE’s communications staff amplifies the work and expertise of InterAction Members through digital and social media, as well as press outreach and facilitation.
