Over the last two decades, the West Bank and Gaza have seen persistent conflict and insecurity, marked by sporadic violence and ongoing disputes between Israelis and Palestinians over land, security, and governance. The result has been a perpetual cycle of instability and humanitarian crises.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a terrorist attack that killed 1,200 Israelis and took 250 civilians hostage. It also unleashed a conflict that has claimed tens of thousands of innocent lives and caused an ongoing humanitarian catastrophe.
InterAction and its Members continue to raise awareness of the conflict and call for increased assistance to reach the Palestinian people. Our alliance seeks to pressure all sides to abide by international humanitarian law and allow for the safe passage and protection of civilians and humanitarians alike.
