Empowering Civil Society

We work to defend and strengthen civil society space by advocating against restrictive policies that harm nonprofit operations and by supporting civil society organizations that save lives and help build sustainable communities worldwide.

Civil Society Education

What We Do

Program Teams

Crises & Countries in Conflict

We monitor and offer support to members working to address crises happening around the world, such as natural disasters or man-made famines, as well as countries in conflict where civilians may be harmed by ongoing fighting.

Global Development

We advocate for funding of poverty-focused development programs and humanitarian relief, while also engaging on issues like foreign assistance reform, democracy, rights, and governance, global health, food security and nutrition, water and sanitation, and humanitarian access.

Humanitarian Coordination & Practice

We support the efforts of humanitarian agencies working together to provide a predictable, coordinated, well-resourced, and holistic response to conflicts and natural disasters.

Leadership Development

We host leadership exchanges, workshops, and related trainings and events to help organizations evolve, while exploring how to implement change and progress, and the resulting implications for different organizations.

Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse & Harassment

We work with Member organizations to drive forward a holistic and integrated approach to the prevention and response of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH) for staff and the communities they serve in both humanitarian and development settings.
